TRAVEL AGENTS GET INTO THE SWING OF THINGS AT NEW SANDALS GOLF SCHOOL IN JAMAICA
~Travel Agents From U.S. and Canada First to Experience Caribbean Resort Company’s Newly Launched Sandals Golf School in Ocho Rios, Jamaica~

Travel Agents from across North America gathered at Sandals Golf & Country Club in Ocho Rios, Jamaica to launch the new Sandals Golf School powered by NikeGolf®.

From January 8-11, 2009, seven travel agents from the United States and Canada were among the first to experience Sandals Resorts’ newly launched Sandals Golf School at the Sandals Golf & Country Club in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The first of its kind for the destination, the Sandals Golf School offers both resort guests and the public with private lessons, multi-day training sessions and corporate golf retreats, as well as access to the latest amenities and technology designed to improve and enhance performance.

Led by certified PGA instructors, the Sandals Golf School is powered by NikeGolf®, delivering the latest equipment and apparel to customers, conveniently located at the golf course’s pro shop. As part of the Golf School’s affiliation with NikeGolf®, customers also enjoy club fitting provided by the NikeGolf® 360 Fitting System, designed to maximize player performance by fitting them for every club in their bag, ranging from the driver to the lob wedge.

“The Sandals Golf & Country Club is a phenomenal facility that many of my clients – perhaps because of their own trepidations about golf – do not experience while on vacation in Jamaica,” said H Fry of Travel by Horizon. “The new Sandals Golf School is extremely user friendly and tiered to benefit all guests, no matter their level of expertise. Sandals Resorts has truly delivered yet another top-notch aspect to the already comprehensive Luxury Included® vacation experience. The Golf School was eye-opening and informative but best of all, a total blast!”

As part of the Sandals Golf School, a 1,000 square foot teaching center features the latest motion analysis technology, designed to digitally capture, compare and analyze each player’s performance, frame by frame. The software allows instructors to mark, measure and monitor a player’s progress. The center also features four hitting bays that allow golfers to hit balls toward outdoor target greens, plus a 10,000 square yard short game teaching area to help players master all shots within 100 yards.

With prices ranging from $85 for a one-hour private lesson to $995 per person for a five-day session, the various Sandals Golf School sessions run from 7:30 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. daily and include:

· A maximum 4-to-1 student-to-coach ratio
· Video analysis and take-home DVD evaluation of one’s golf swing, complete with coach voice-over
· A learning manual with the coach’s handwritten comments
· Transportation to and from the course
· Golf towels and rental clubs

A Junior Golf Camp for golfers 8 to 16 years old is also offered Monday through Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. and includes: 20 hours of supervised instruction; maximum 8-to-1 student-to-coach ratio; on-course play time; take-home coach’s notes; daily snack; and a certificate of achievement for successful completion of the program. Those curious about the Sandals Golf School, but hesitant about making the commitment, can also sign up for a free golf clinic held every Monday and Tuesday at 9:00 a.m.

Beyond the Sandals Golf School, additional amenities available at Sandals Golf & Country Club include: an 18-hole championship course with reserved tee times; a plantation-style club house featuring panoramic views of Ocho Rios; a club house restaurant; an authentic Jamaican Jerk Shack, the only one of its kind to be found on any Jamaican golf course; and complimentary shuttle service from the four nearby Sandals Resorts International hotels in the Ocho Rios area.
