On Monday October 19rh, All Pro Pastors, Dallas 1 Corporation , and Faith Tampa Bay hosted a Free to Pastors day of Golf !

The Event was held at Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club located at 200 Inverness Avenue, Tampa Fl 33617. The Shot-gun Start began at 9:00am with Breakfast served at 8:00am and a lunch to follow. The Format was designed by Bart Azzarrelli as 7-4-7. There were plenty of giveaways for the pastors. Travel by Horizon gave two blessed pastors a trip each that we know they will really enjoy.

Designed and built in 1921, by renowned golf architect Tom Bendelow, Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club opened in 1922, and remains one of Tampa Bay’s finest private country club facilities. The golf course and club are at the center of much of the community life in Temple Terrace.

On October 9, 2009, the 3rd Annual "Tee Up For Our Troops" Charity Golf Tournament will take place at the beautiful MacDill Air Force Base golf course. Our objective is to raise money and awareness to support the Fisher House, a 'home away from home' temporary lodging facility for families of wounded military members and veterans being treated at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital.

The Tampa Fisher House, which opened in 2007, is a 16,000 sq foot, 21-bedroom home located adjacent to the hospital where these service members returning from combat areas like Iraq and Afghanistan undergo long, often difficult recuperation and rehabilitation. All money raised during the golf tournament will go directly to the Fisher House which depends on volunteers and voluntary support to enhance its operations and programs. Disney is increasing Disneyland and Disneyworld

Walt Disney World is about to embark on a sweeping facelift for the Fantasyland section of the Magic Kingdom, in what the resort calls the biggest overhaul in the theme park's 38-year history.

Plans revealed Saturday call for adding a lavish ride based on The Little Mermaid, expanding a popular Dumbo children's attraction, new interactive areas featuring some of Disney's best-known princesses, and more.

In addition, Disney said it plans to update Star Tours, the Star Wars-themed simulator ride in Disney's Hollywood Studios, with new 3-D effects.

The refurbished Star Tours will debut in 2011. The Fantasyland overhaul will be complete by 2013. Disney declined to say how much it will spend on the projects.

The twin announcements are a Disney World response to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, the hugely anticipated project being built by rival Universal Orlando in its Islands of Adventure theme park. Industry experts expect Wizarding World, a collection of attractions, shops and restaurants based on the novels by British author J.K. Rowling, to prove a huge draw when it opens in 2010; one that threatens to siphon attendance away from Disney.

But perhaps more importantly, said Robert Niles, publisher of themeparkinsider.com, Disney's Fantasyland expansion could team with Universal's Wizarding World in helping reignite overall travel to Orlando, which has slumped badly amid the global recession.

"There might be some Harry Potter fans who are waffling on the expense of trips to Orlando. But if you can throw in something new at Disney, maybe they'll make the trip," Niles said. "At this point, travel isn't a zero sum game. They've got to get people on planes traveling again."

To drive the expansion, Disney is turning to one of its most enduring and lucrative franchises: princesses. The vast majority of the Fantasyland overhaul will focus on Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and others in the company's stable of animated heroines.

The biggest-ticket addition will be the Little Mermaid attraction, an enclosed ride that will carry guests through Ariel's underwater realm. It will use an Omnimover ride system similar to that of the Haunted Mansion, and will move through scenes featuring characters and songs from the 1989 movie.

The ride, which has a working title of Under the Sea: Journey of The Little Mermaid, will be the same as one being built as part of the $1 billion overhaul of Disney's California Adventure theme park in Anaheim, Calif., though the twin attractions will have different exteriors.

But what's more, Disney World will construct individual areas -- be it a castle, cottage or chateau -- where guests can interact with some of the company's best-known princesses and other characters from their movies. Children will be able to dance with Cinderella, celebrate Aurora's birthday with the Good Fairies, or play a role with Belle in a performance in the library of the Beast's castle.

The Beast's castle, taken from the 1991 film Beauty and the Beast, will also include a three-room themed restaurant.

"Princesses are certainly one of Disney's strengths. Obviously, there's some limited appeal in terms of gender and age," Niles, of themeparkinsider.com, said. "But anyone who's had a young daughter knows they can be extremely persuasive."

Chris Beatty, a senior concept designer with Walt Disney Imagineering, said a goal is to make the company's iconic princesses appealing to a wider demographic. For example, some villains from the princesses' movies will also be incorporated to help the area appeal to boys.

"We're tailoring our experiences to kind of have that broad appeal," Beatty said. "There're just some great, classic stories, and we know for any guests that travel to the Magic Kingdom, that's always one of the highlights."

Beyond princesses, the plans call for doubling the size of and relocating Dumbo the Flying Elephant to a new "circus grounds" that will include an interactive queue under a big-top tent to entertain children waiting in line. Disney will add a new Pixie Hollow character-greeting area, home to Tinker Bell and other fairies.

To accommodate the expansion, Disney will raze most of Mickey's Toontown Fair, the smallest of the Magic Kingdom's "lands." Gone will be both of the walk-through country houses where guests were guaranteed to meet Disney's most famous characters: Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

Disney says Mickey and Minnie will get new homes near the front entrance of the park. The children's roller coaster, the Barnstormer at Goofy's Wiseacre Farm, will remain, though it will be re-themed, likely with a circus overlay linking it to Dumbo.

The first phase of the Fantasyland expansion, including the Mermaid ride and the princess areas, is scheduled to open in 2012. Pixie Hollow will follow in 2013.

For Star Tours, which debuted in Hollywood Studios in 1989, Disney plans to add new video and dialogue sequences recorded by George Lucas' Lucasfilm studio. The updated 3-D effects will incorporate characters from the three Star Wars prequel films released between 1999 and 2005.

An identical Star Tours at Disneyland will also be upgraded.

Online Disney fan forums have been abuzz about a potential Fantasyland expansion for much of the summer, after blueprints were mysteriously leaked. Disney refused to comment on the plans for weeks, instead waiting to make the announcement at a fan convention this weekend in Anaheim.

The fact is if you did not attend the Bridal show today you really missed out!!!!
The Hilton Tampa Airport went all out......They butlered crabcakes, beef welington, champagne, chocolate, cakes, cheeses and so much more. No BIG modeling show....just really elegant vendors and location with a great time held for everyone to enjoy. Connie Guglin linens displayed eight different table setups that were just smashing. Publix Supermarkets from Citrus Park Fl did several full size cakes that everyone oowed and ahhed. Travel by Horizon gave away a 5 day 4 nite trip to Mexico....Lauren Hunt who won the trip thought she just might make this a girls get away......what a fun time they will have visiting the beaches of Mexico. Air Jamaica and JTB continue to work together to promote annual music Festival slated for January 22 - 24, 2009!

Jamaica: The Jamaica Tourist Board and Air Jamaica have once again partnered with Turnkey Productions to be major sponsorsof the annual jazz and blues festival held each January in Montego Bay. A strategic decision was taken to rename the festival to give the Jamaica Brand prime positioning. To facilitate this move the JTB agreed to add their official JAMAICA branding to the name and logo, thus rebranding the festival as The JAMAICA Jazz and Blues Festival with Air Jamaica as the presenting sponsor. The 2009 event will take place from January 22-24. After meetings with both organizations, Walter Elmore, the President of Turn-Key Productions,was happy about the new branding for the Festival. ""We believe that the new name represents the Festival as a national event that attracts thousands of tourists and returning residents to the island. Sandals Resorts has once again embarked upon a ten-city North American tour to provide travel agents with a firsthand overview of all of the new and exciting projects happening at Sandals Resorts, Beaches Resorts, the Royal Plantation Collection and Grand Pineapple Beach Resorts. The Luxury Included® Legacy Continues Tour, which kicked off in Miami, FL on October 11th, introduced agents to new upgrades, expansions and partnerships slated for each of the resort brands in the Sandals Resorts International portfolio.

The inaugural event commenced with a tradeshow exhibition where agents had the opportunity to view the latest collateral materials available for all resort brands, followed by a sit-down luncheon, where they heard about the company's exciting new initiatives and expansion projects directly from Sandals Resorts' Chairman, Mr. Gordon 'Butch' Stewart, and CEO, Adam Stewart. With so many couples that 'have it all', when it comes to household items receiving a crystal bowl for your wedding may not be what you had in mind. These days, it is not unusual or inappropriate to have a non-traditional registry such as a honeymoon registry. This won't shock your mother. In fact, she will probably think what a fabulous idea!

A honeymoon registry, or any registry for that matter, is way to ensure that couples receive items they want and will enjoy, as well as items that their guests enjoy giving.What is more fun than having your guests purchase a candlelit dinner on the beach, a couples massage or a balloon ride….whatever you desire to make your honeymoon your dream honeymoon. We all know the cost of weddings is very high and when it comes to your first trip as a married couple, you don't want to scrimp on anything. You will have many trips together but your honeymoon is the trip you will talk about for the rest of your lives.
Registry do's and don'tsDo Register
Your guests want to buy you a gift and by registering it helps your guests know exactly what you would like. It also ensures that you will receive what you want and saves time returning five of the same item that you don't need!
Don't put off starting your registry
Once your family and friends know he 'popped the question', they will start preparing for the engagement party and bridal shower. You want to register up to 9 months in advance and it is never too late to register - use your registry for wedding gifts as well.
Do get the ‘word out'
Give your parents, bridesmaids and groomsmen all of the details about your registry so they can start letting your guests know by ‘word of mouth'. If you have a wedding website, place your registry information on your website (don't forget to include the website address and telephone number). Use the announcement card or email service provided by your registry. Never send a registry announcement in your wedding invitation. An etiquette taboo! The one exception is the shower invitation.
Don't forget to consider more than one registry
There's no “correct” number of registries you can have. Get together with your future spouse and discuss what makes you both happy. Having a store registry and a honeymoon registry is a way to cover all the bases. Besides, it's more fun for your guests to purchase the gifts you want.

Do register for gifts in a range of prices
Registries are not only for engagement parities or showers; also use it for your wedding gifts. By having gift items in all price ranges this will ensure you don't leave anyone one out when it comes to their budget. Having a range of prices will allow guests to purchase lower price items for a shower and higher price items for a wedding gift.

Getting the Word out
If your guests do not know where you are registered they cannot purchase the gift of your choice. Distinctive Honeymoons provides 50 insertions for shower invitations which etiquette wise is fine to insert in an invitation. We also provide 100 registry announcements for your wedding. Etiquette - There should be no mention of a registry in your wedding invitation. We will send the cards in a separate mailing a few days after your wedding invitations are mailed.. Full-service all the way!
DO say "Thank You"
Always send a hand written thank you card. Gifts received before the wedding should be sent within two weeks. Gifts received after the wedding should be received no later than 3 months after you return from your honeymoon. Don't forget to mention the gift by name.

A real labour of love: Couple trawl streets for litter for three months and recycle it to pay for their honeymoon flight

For most couples, planning the perfect honeymoon is a labour of love.
But John and Ann Till, it would seem, have worked harder than most.
The couple spent three months collecting an incredible 60,000 pieces of rubbish to gain 36,000 air miles in a supermarket recycling incentive scheme.

They came up with the idea after noticing that a local Tesco store was awarding one clubcard point for every four items of rubbish returned.
These points could then be turned into vouchers and converted into British Airways air miles, which paid for the pair's £3,000 business class flights.
Mr Till, 31, a railways communications manager, said: 'We found the recycling machine by accident when we were buying petrol.
'We wanted to make our honeymoon special and were trying to think of ways to raise money for it.
'I saw on the machine that you got a Tesco clubcard point for every four items you put in.
'For every 250 clubcard points, you get a £2.50 voucher, which equals 600 BA miles.
'We worked out it would be possible to turn rubbish into our flights - as long as we had enough.
'We went out most evenings during the spring - we would nip out to the pub and take a long route coming back.
'We soon found the best places to pick up rubbish.
'It was mainly things like coke bottles and cans of lager. I was quite shocked to see how much stuff was just dumped at the side of the road.'

Mrs Till, 24, a merchant navy navigation officer, added: 'Sometimes we were posting up to 600 items a time into the machine.
'We would be there for hours putting stuff through the slot.
'It was snowing one evening and freezing cold but there we were chucking stuff into the machine.'
The couple, from Petersfield in Hampshire, soon came up with ways to gain more air miles.

They began to find abandoned trolleys filled with rubbish that customers had dumped outside recycling machines which had broken down.
Mrs Till said: 'We had a few lucky breaks. It's funny how you can get interested and excited about rubbish after a while.'
By May, the pair had reached their goal and were able to go ahead and confirm their £3,000 honeymoon.
They married in August, sailed to New York on the Queen Mary 2, visited Denver, Colorado and Nashville before catching their business class BA flights home from Atlanta.
The flights would have cost £1,500 each had the couple paid for them.
Mr Till said: 'While it was nice to get the rubbish for the good cause, it was disappointing to see there's a lot of litter in our town.
'But it did raise a smile when we were in business class on the flight back to Gatwick to think that the litter louts of Petersfield had paid for the pleasure.'

Disney's What Would You Celebrate?

The Walt Disney Company announced their newest advertising campaign on Thursday and revealed that if you come to Disneyland or Disney World on your birthday, you will be granted free (yes, FREE) admission into the parks. This will no doubt be an extremely popular campaign.

The free birthday offering is just the icing on the cake for Disney’s newest marketing campaign which targets “Celebration Vacations.” The press release explains that “In 2009, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts will lead this growing trend with new entertainment and services that allow guests to turn their personal milestones into magical Disney experiences.”

But that’s not all, Disney will promote over 200 experiences at Disney World alone, ranging from “Breathtaking (magical fireworks cruises, sunrise safaris, diving the depths with undersea creatures) to mirth-making (Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, character dining, kids’ pirate adventures). At Disneyland Resort, celebrants can book more than 50 magical experiences including ‘My Disneyland Birthday Party’ and guided tours that reveal Walt Disney’s inspiration for Disney Parks.

The release continues, “With all there is to do in Disney parks, guests can tailor their celebration with favorite attractions, favorite characters and special experiences. Maybe they have a “princess” day with themed meals, shows, attractions and perfectly princess merchandise at Disneyland. Or they turn Walt Disney World “wild” with trail riding, bass fishing and parasailing.”
While the marketing is a distinct improvement over the confusing year of a million dreams campaign, many of the items being promoted aren’t so much new as they are simply being targeted toward those celebrating certain occasions. The new Disney Celebrations make it easier to plan a specialized trip and offer some extra special things that many regular park guests do not even know about. Wow was I in trouble! After having found my Bride to be and working thru convincing her to marry me I was not prepared for all the things that would be thrown at me for the wedding.
I did run into just a slight problem that I forget to book my honey moon in all the running around getting ready for the wedding.
When I called at 5:30 on Friday, the day before our wedding, I was really not sure if there was a prayer in finding something for the next day inside of our budget. Rhonda not only found something in Orlando for us but it was in our budget and had some nice touches we were not expecting once we got there.
We both new we were very fortunate to have the help of a true professional, who new what we where looking for and how to get it for us.

My husband and I wanted to express how grateful we are for a wonderful trip. This was our second trip to Sandals Dunns River. Besides the beautiful resort and the relaxing atmosphere, the staff is what made us want to come back. And after this last trip the experience and the staff were exponentially better than our first trip. We felt as though we were treated like family.
We owe much of our destination decision, this time and last, to our wonderful travel agent Stephanie Raimer with Travel By Horizon. Both this time and last she was in constant contact with us before and after our trips to ensure we did not have any unanswered questions. She took the time to listen to us and in turn she was able to give us exactly what we were looking for in a vacation. Her demeanor and attention to detail will keep us coming back to her for all of our travel needs and Sandals vacations.
Though, we could say great things about the entire resort staff, there were a few individuals who made our trip truly memorable. First of all, Lastardo Roberts, “Star”, from Snap Shot is amazing. We met Lastardo on our first visit, two years ago and unfortunately we did not keep in touch with him. Nevertheless, at our returning guest dinner we saw each other and not only did he remember who we were, he remembered what we were wearing on the photo shoot we did with him. In part, it was detail like that made us feel at home and we will make sure that we do not lose contact with him this time.
Moreover, we met Clayton Peters on this trip and we hope he is still with the resort on our return visit. He was our server almost every morning at the Ristorante Colombo and he also took care of us several times at the Ristorante Il Capitano. His upbeat personality and quality of service made us feel as though we had known him for years.
Also, our concierge Florence always took great care of us. With her mother like qualities, she made sure we were constantly smiling. Two more honorable mentions would have to be Mario from the Tree Bar and Ivan from the Water Sports. Mario made us laugh every time we sat or even walked by the bar and Ivan was always very helpful and extremely courteous.
We look forward to our return trip in 2009.

I apologize for not emailing you yesterday, but as you can imagine the first day back to work after vacation is usually very chaotic. I don’t even know where to begin…but I hope that YOU ARE THE BEST will do! As I mentioned on our call, our trip to the Excellence was amazing! It was everything I could have imagined and more. Nelson and I are so grateful for ALL the help you provided us. Everything you told us to expect and not expect was exactly what we encountered. It was so refreshing to have the knowledge of what we were going to encounter, especially it being our first time traveling internationally and all-inclusive.
The resort was absolutely gorgeous! It was truly living in paradise for 6 days. Your recommendation to the Excellence was by far the best! When we arrived, many of the locals were telling us that we were staying at the #1 rated resort in Punta Cana. They talked about how elegant, expensive, and beautiful it was, and we couldn’t wait to get there. When we finally did arrive – Nelson and I were overwhelmed by the beauty and the extremely energetic and super-nice staff. When we were told about our upgrade to the ocean-view swimming pool room…I just started crying. I couldn’t believe we were there and experiencing this.
Our 6 days in Punta Cana were amazing and memorable, and Nelson and I connected in such a way that we had never experienced in the 10 years of marriage. We joked that we owe it to you for opening our eyes to something that we have felt so guilty about doing since we have a family. We are a very happy couple and believe our marriage is strong, but sometimes as parents we forget that we need that alone time every now and then, and remind each other that the love and intimacy is still there. I thank you from the bottom of my heart, because after all of our conversations prior to our trip, you kept reassuring me that we deserved this trip. I knew that deep inside, but I still had that hint of regret because we were excluding the kids. Well, I will be the first to admit that besides the 5 minutes per day that we spoke to the boys, we rarely spoke of them. Nelson and I just enjoyed every minute of our days together.
I could go on and on with my sappy stories about the trip, but I won’t bore you. J THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! Your guidance these last few months is extremely appreciated, and as I said before, you always looked out for our best interest – not just yours. I can assure you that I will be calling you for all of our future travel needs. You took away the headaches that I would have encountered if I had gone about booking our trip on our own. Every phone call I made to you, you were always so helpful and friendly…in short Stephanie…you helped make this trip amazing! What can I say…you made my Nelson a very happy man. For that I owe you – because this man is now all about making sure we get to experience trips such as this one on a yearly basis.
I have attached just a couple of pics – you can tell how happy we were…of course we were also under the influence of all those wonderful drinks J. I can’t wait to do this again. As we start off our lives together........with the posibilities of growing old together......with the possibilities of little ones and creating a family......it seems even more reasonable to ponder the possibilities of how can we make a difference with our Wedding and Honeymoon?

In this post we would like to consider some of the creative and standard ways we can make a difference for the community and the world as we embark together to make our new lives together.

Some ideas:

1. Use a facility that is GREEN GLOBE APPROVED and CERTIFIED!

2. Use natural light periods for your wedding instead of night time periods which require more artificial light use. This will also help with your pictures and videography of the wedding festivities.
3. Use local vendors for catering, photography, DJ's, decorators, and other services for your wedding as this will use less fuel and inturn leave a smaller carbon footprint for your event.
4. Use group travel for your guests when possible as this leads to less congestion and fuel consumption on the road, but also a safer and potentially a more enjoyable occassion for the guest who do travel together. This will also help with the responsible vendor issues as most occassions do have an opportunity for the guests to invibe.
5. Use reusable, silk, limited flowers, or flowers of the season to be more earth friendly.
6. Use a location that already has wonderful beauty that does not need as much transformation decorating.
7. Choose a time of year that lends itself to cooler or warmer period where as to not require as much heating or cooling from the venue you choose.
8. If you are going off for the Honeymoon, a larger jet for traveling long distances is more efficient than using smaller aircraft.
9. Choose a destination for the wedding or honeymoon that uses recycled water for irrigation as this is very important as to preserving our freshwater sources.
10. If you use a limo service and do not need a 12-16 passenger limo, select a smaller one that is more energy efficient for you and your spouse. Where this is the opposite is where you use the limo to move all of the wedding party. Match this to your needs to get the best eco friendly result.
11. Use recycled paper products when availale for stationary, annoucements, invitations, and thank you notes. Some people are all wired for e-tations and so forth. Use of this eliminates the paper thing completely.

Sandals Negril JA. Just returned from the resort and have to say the New RIVER SUITES are just to die for! Right on the Beach with a meandering river pool set right in front of the walk out of the suite. Beautifully appointed with Tommy Bahama style Luxury Included ambiance. The nightly beach side Bon fires with cozy seating areas are awesome to sit and talk with the someone special. The beach is just steps away and the moon casually shines on the water when in its growth pattern. Not to mentioned the Butlers.......if you have had one you know......they just really make the luxury experience complete......if you have not had one this is a must in my book because they really amplify your time and experience while on your vacation / holiday / honeymoon.
